Losing someone in your life is never an easy thing to get over. In the celebrity world death is just as shocking, especially when they’re in the spotlight.
Paul Walker died aged 40 on November 10th 2013. His passing came as he and his friend Roger Rodas were leaving a charity event when the car crashed. Rodas was the one driving and Paul Walker was the one driving that night. The pair were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Michael Jackson passed away suddenly at the age of just 50. The star had died in bed at his home in Los Angeles. Jackson’s autopsy revealed the unexpected, that his main cause of death was acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication. Conrad Murray, his primary care physician, was sentenced for Michael’s death. However he only ended up serving two years of his initial four year sentence before being released.
The singing sensation, Amy Winehouse, passed away in 2011 aged just 27. The star’s cause of death was alcohol poisoning. Following her autopsy the coroner reported that Winehouse’s blood alcohol level was over five times the legal driving limit at the time of her death.
On 11th of February 2012, Whitney Houston was found unconscious in her suit at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged in the tub. It wasn’t immediately known what her cause of death was. It was eventually revealed that the star’s death was caused by drowning and the “effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use”. Houston’s passing shocked many.
Kurt Cobain passed away in his home aged just 27. His body was found by Gary Smith, his electrician. Following Cobain’s autopsy it was found that he had a high level of heroin in his system, as well as traces of diazepam. It is estimated that he had passed away a few days prior to his body being found. His death came only a month after a previous suicide attempt, in which he had overdosed on a cocktail of Rohypnol and champagne.
On the 25th of August 2001, singer Aaliyah tragically passed away. The star and a number of other co-workers boarded a plane in Abaco Islands, to travel to Florida. The plane crashed just 200 feet from the end of the runway, causing the plane to then explode. All on board the aircraft died. It was determined that the plane was overloaded by 700 pounds, therefore causing it to crash.
A more recent death, from the beginning of 2020 is that of Kobe Bryant. Bryant, his daughter and seven other people passed away due to the helicopter they were flying in plummeting for sixty seconds before crashing into the hillside in Los Angeles and bursting into flames. It is said the helicopter crash was due to heavy fog in the air at the time of flying. Bryant’s body was identified through his fingerprints. The sudden death of Bryant and his daughter shocked the world.
